India's daily coronavirus cases and deaths surged in the last 24 hours, according to the data by the Union ministry of health. The daily Covid infections increased to 11,466 and the deaths surged to 460. India's active cases stood at 955 and recovery count at 11,961 in a day. Among all Indian states, Kerala accounts for the most active Covid cases and deaths at present. Among the eight regions of Maharashtra, the Mumbai region saw the highest 460 cases during the day, followed by 306 cases reported from the Pune region.
