I love an oil, me. I love the process of applying it — the smoothness, the slippage, the scent — and I love how it feels superlatively nourishing. You feel lubricated with an oil, which isn’t necessarily a nice visual, but if you’re a fan of them, you’ll know what I mean. It’s like you’re a lettuce leaf and they’re the dressing: it’s a perfect, meant-to-be match. I also love the counterintuitiveness of using facial oils on faces that are already oily — but it works.
