IndiGo and SpiceJet have announced new flights as the airlines ramp up capacity after Jet Airways ceased operations from mid-April. SpiceJet has announced the launch of six new flights connecting Mumbai including a daily non-stop flight on Mumbai-Jeddah-Mumbai sector from 5th July. SpiceJet has also announced a special fare of ₹12,399 (all inclusive) for Mumbai–Jeddah and ₹15,399 (all inclusive) for Jeddah-Mumbai. Starting April 1, SpiceJet has announced 85 flights which including 54 flights connecting Mumbai, 16 flights connecting Delhi and 8 flights between Mumbai and Delhi. "We are strengthening our network from Kolkata with six new flights including a new RCS (Regional Connectivity Scheme) route.
