A reception was later held at a local conference venue, bringing together prominent members of the Bangladeshi community from across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond. In his remarks, the consul general paid tribute to the martyrs, freedom fighters and women who made supreme sacrifices for the country’s independence. As part of the 55th anniversary celebrations, the Consulate General will host another reception on April 2 in honour of the consular corps in Toronto.
