Indefinite lockdown recommended for ‘tilting’ Manila collegeBy The Manila TimesTHE city engineering office of Manila recommended an indefinite lockdown of the earthquake-damaged Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) building in San Marcelino. City Engineer Roger Legazpi said that the team checked Manila City Hall, hospitals and other structures and sites in Manila for damage after a magnitude 6.1-earthquake struck parts of Luzon. “The cost of damage has not been determined yet, but the team will determine the tilting on Wednesday,” Legaspi said. Legazpi said that there was no damage so far to the UN Residences or the other buildings that the engineers assessed. “We are coordinating with the Bureau of Fire Protection and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council for recommendations,” Legazpi added.
