Ajinkya Rahane has unique memories of playing for India at Ferozeshah Kotla ground here. It was at this venue that he made his 'forgettable' Test debut against Australia (scoring 7 & 1) in March 2013. Having been dropped for next two Tests after his failure on debut, Rahane played next 20 of his Tests abroad. During this time, Rahane scored a century in Australia, England and New Zealand and fell short of four (96) by scoring another in South Africa. His average of 69.66 while playing in South Africa demands that he should be given confidence before the upcoming tough series.
