BURIRAM, Thailand, Feb 8, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Incumbent Thai prime minister Anutin Charnvirakul said he hoped voters would trust his party after casting his ballot Sunday. "We've done everything we could, but we can't force the hearts of the public," he told reporters in Buriram, adding: "Hopefully they will trust us." Anutin's Bhumjaithai party was ranked second in opinion polls ahead of the vote but he is widely expected to retain his position in a coalition deal.
