Incomplete repair works riles Gazipur villages with red dust

The road from Goran rail crossing to Bormi Bazaar had been in miserable condition for about two years. It turned a bone-cracking one as numerous chuckholes were developed and the bitumen carpet thinned to the brink of extinction. Sohrab Hossain, associate professor of Pear Ali College and a resident of Goran area, expressed his irritation over the red dust, saying “I leave the house in clean outfit, but before reaching my workstation it takes a dusty red coating. Sujayet Hossain, an engineer of Shreepur LGED office, admitted that the inconvenience was created by the disruption in the road repair works. The repair works will resume after the tender process,” explains the official.
