Youths in Ekiti state have called on the state government under the leadership of Dr Kayode Fayemi to include their demands in the preparation of the 2020 budget so as to enhance positive contribution to the development of the state. Acting under the platform, Ekiti Youth Agenda ( EYA), they maintained that the full implementation of EYA’s recommendations would help in no small measure to transform the prospects of the youths and the state at large. When the right opportunities and platforms are provided for, major positive contribution by youths is enhanced. The bulk of the individual requests of Ekiti Youth from Governor Kayode Fayemi are already captured in the EYA policy document, therefore, implementing EYA recommendations will solve the bulk of the problems of Ekiti youth and transform prospects of the youths and the state. “We, therefore, call on all ministries to prioritise the recommendations of EYA in the 2020 budget as promised during our advocacies to them,” they said.
