Inari Amertron ends China JV plans after failing to reach agreement with Taiwanese partner


KUALA LUMPUR (March 2): Inari Amertron Bhd has terminated its plan to form a joint venture (JV) with a Taiwanese firm to provide outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) services in China. “Thus, Inari and PCL have decided jointly and mutually to terminate the MoU and hence negotiations with respect to the formation of the JV entity have ceased. The company will continue to explore other potential business opportunities in China that will be useful for its OSAT business expansion. At closing, Inari rose six sen or 3.12% to RM1.98, valuing it at RM3.86 billion. PCL dipped one New Taiwan (NT) dollar or 1.17% to close at NT84.30 for a market capitalisation of NT4.7 billion.
