So much for the big movies of the moment, such as “Deadpool 2” or “Avengers: Infinity Wars.” At the Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood, film fans lined up last weekend for “Lost Highway,” the surreal 1997 David Lynch picture involving sex, murder and a jazz saxophonist. The showing was part of a tradition stretching back at least four decades in New York City: the midnight movie.
