CAIRO – 17 April 2020: Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Al-Anany visited the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat to check on the latest developments of the museum and its work plan during the current period in light of the preventive measures taken by the government to combat the novel coronavirus.The Egyptian minister of Tourism and Antiquities was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed El-Sherbiny, the museum’s general director.The tour included visiting the foyer, reception area, main hall, mummy hall and panorama of the museum.Anany also inspected the guide boards that show the schedule of the different historical periods from the prehistoric period until the contemporary era, as well as the map that shows all the museums , archaeological and tourist sites in Egypt; in both Arabic and English languages to be displayed within the context of the museum display.It is worth noting that the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is one of the most important projects developed in cooperation with UNESCO to become one of the largest museums of civilization in Egypt and the Middle East with a new vision of the ancient Egyptian heritage.
