CAIRO – 13 July 2020: The second of 32 air-conditioned metro trains has arrived at Alexandria Port as part of an agreement signed between National Authority for Tunnels and Hyundai Rotem Company in South Korea. The train will be installed on the third line of Cairo metro. The agreement includes an eight-year rail maintenance, in addition to collecting 10 trains out of 32 trains in Egypt through the technical support provided by Hyundai Rotem. The third line includes 10 stations and has a total length of 15.8 km. The third phase of the third metro line will connect the working-class districts of Attaba, Bulaq and Imbaba with Cairo University in Giza.
