In-person classes cancelled Monday for Saskatoon high school students due to storm

In-person classes Monday are cancelled for high school students in Saskatoon due to a winter storm that brought heavy snow to the city over the weekend. Saskatoon Public Schools and Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools sent a joint news release out Sunday night saying the storm has created potentially unsafe conditions for staff and students to attend school on Monday. Much of the southern half of the province was under blizzard, winter storm, or snowfall warnings on Sunday. Monday was a previously scheduled professional development day for elementary students, while high school students were scheduled to attend class. Classes scheduled through Saskatoon Public Schools online learning centre and Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools cyber school will continue.
