In-car fuel payment arrives in New ZealandSupplied Customers can use a mobile app to order and pay for their fuel. Fuel retailer BP is launching new mobile payment technology called BPMe, which is designed to remove the need to enter a service station's store to pay for the fuel. Smartphone technology has reached the fuel pump, with motorists soon able to order and pay for their petrol or diesel from inside their cars. Then all that is needed to be done is to step outside the vehicle and pump the fuel. Customers who have a BP Fuelcard can download an app that will allow them to pull up at a fuel pump, log in and select the fuel type and the amount wanting to be purchased.
