In the country’s continuing effort to counter the smuggling of its subsidised fuel, Libya’s Minister of Economy and Trade, Mohamed Hwej, has issued a decision for public and private fuel transport companies to have their transport trucks equipped with a GPS device. The decision also prescribed that the fuel trucks are fitted with a meter that shows the carried quantity of fuel.
