If you look at real estate in the Orlando, Florida area, or in Palm Springs, California, or if you even go as far as other sunbaked or picturesque locations like Southern Spain, you’ll notice the plethora of residential real estate centered around golf courses. These homes, owned often by buy-to-rent real estate investors, have been a draw for golfers and vacationers for many years, and now this concept of sport-front real estate is being extended to other sports — from what I see, most notably soccer. As soccer grows in popularity in America, so too does the opportunity for real estate investors to seek out new, attractive projects that may be located at some of the more prestigious academies. For buyers and investors, there are a lot of golf properties to choose from in Florida and other places, but not as many soccer-front properties. This increase clearly points to a positive future for this most international of sports, and with that some interesting opportunities for real estate investors.
