On the day the diplomats gathered in Vienna, 28 civilians were killed, 94 rockets were launched and 40 barrel bombs dropped. But a slow-motion genocide is unwinding in Syria. The Syria Campaign, an independent advocacy group, estimates that a Syrian dies every 51 minutes. There is a disconnect, to say the least, between the “peace process” and what is actually happening in real time.
