PCB always has had a bias toward­s Pakist­an’s men’s cricke­t teamKECH TURBAT: Recently, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the women’s ODI and T20 teams for the year but unfortunately the Pakistan women’s cricket team has not managed to make a place in any of the categories, which is disappointing and a reason to evaluate the performance of our female cricketers. Being a Pakistani I feel sad that not a single female player in the country has been awarded in the ranking. Part of this disappointing reality has arisen from the fact that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) always has had a bias towards Pakistan’s men’s cricket team, while treating the women cricket team as a subordinate. The PCB must treat the two alike with the belief that women cricketers are equally capable of proving their mettle on the pitch.
