Symptoms are nasty, and typically include nausea, vomiting, fever, diarrhoea, headaches, achy arms and legs. These symptoms normally start a couple of days after being infected, and fortunately most people feel better in around two days. Going back to work or taking your child back school when still poorly means classmates and colleagues could get the unpleasant bug too - which nobody will thank you for. Once you do leave the house again, making sure you wash your hands regularly and use hand sanitiser is still important. You normally don't need to see a GP if you have norovirus, as antibiotics won't help and you may spread the bug.
