Share TweetBy Chito ChavezThe Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Saturday explained that effectivity of the implementation of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) curfew hours is dependent on the ordinances that would be passed by each of the local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila. DILG Undersecretary and Spokesman Jonathan Malaya said the Metro Manila mayors agreed to pass ordinances in their respective turfs that will legalize the imposition of the 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew hours recommended by the Metro Manila Council in a resolution passed on Saturday. While curfew violators would not be arrested, Malaya said they will be told why the curfew hours are being implemented. He added that the move is a measure requested and approved by the Metro Manila mayors.
