The first cochlear implant in the state of Rajasthan was performed in 2010 and till now total 489 cochlear implants have been performed. Out of these, 300 cochlear implants have been performed free of cost. In 2017 total 78 cochlear implants have been performed in Jaipur while overall 50 have been performed in Jodhpur and 40 in Bikaner. Six cochlear implants have been done in Udaipur,” said Saraf.
