Immigration cancels work visas of 528 foreignersBy The Manila TimesTHE Bureau of Immigration (BI) has cancelled the working visas of 528 foreigners following the discovery that their Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE)-issued alien employment permits (AEPs) were fake. These foreigners were employed by six companies from Manila, Paranaque, and Caloocan, and were involved in consultancy, residential sales, tutorial, and information technology. The AEP is also a requirement before a foreign worker is issued a working visa by the BI. The employer applies the permit for their foreign employees.
