Abdel-Aziz Al-Shamary, 21, entered Britain illegally in 2015 and was given leave to remain about two weeks before the savage assault in Darlington, County Durham, in May. Judge Sean Morris, sitting at Teesside crown court, said he wanted to see reports which looked into Al-Shamary’s “attitude towards women” before passing sentence. The court heard that Al-Shamary confronted another woman before the rape, telling her as she walked with a male friend that she was an “ugly bitch” and “not worthy”. He twice shouted “bitch country” as he was being arrested the same day.
