A former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Lucky Imasuen, has withdrawn from the All Progressives Congress governorship primary election being held in Edo today. This was according to a withdrawal letter released on Saturday morning by Imasuen. Imasuen was one of the 12 governorship aspirants screened and cleared by a committee set up by the APC National Working Committee. In his withdrawal letter addressed to his supporters, Imasuen said he withdrew from the primaries in the interest of peace and unity. “From the foregoing, I am ready to support whoever emerges as our candidate in the primary election.”The party’s primary election holds today.
