Holocaust Education Trust Ireland held a very special event in Russborough House, Co. Wicklow in October as Child Holocaust survivor of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, Suzi Diamond planted an Irish oak tree in memory of all of the children murdered in the Holocaust. Pupils from the local Gaelscoil na Lochanna, also planted yellow crocuses in memory of the children who died as part of The European Crocus Project. Photograph: Dara Mac Donaill / The Irish Times
