Police say that a 65-year-old Hamilton man has been arrested after he allegedly shot another man trying to break in to his east end home. When officers got there, a man walked out of the house with his hands in the air saying, "I'm the shooter," a police news release reads. The officers started asking him questions, and discovered that he was the man who was shot at the Avondale address while allegedly trying to break in. The 24-year-year old who police say was shot is facing charges of breaking and entering with intent. Wagner also said that this shooting is unrelated to another shooting that happened in the city overnight, at Sherman Avenue North and Cannon Street.
