Ebo Whyte indicated that the former President gave him hope as young man and praised him for his military takeover in 1979. “…I was on the way to the office when a panting, breathless voice came on air and announced… announced liberation, announced salvation for the nation; since that day, you have been an inspiration sir” he stated. Ebo Whyte continued by stating that “I know the man who gave me hope as a young man, because you knew how many Ghanaians were running away to Nigeria; where they were mistreated and disrespected. Former President Rawlings turned 70 years on Thursday and was honoured by Roverman Productions with a night of music, dance and theatre.
