The MP was served with a notice on Apr 4 asking him to appear before the ACC on Apr 16 for interrogation over allegation of amassing illegal wealth, said ACC spokesperson Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya. On Mar 8, the ACC decided to launch an investigation against three MPs over allegations of acquiring illegal wealth. The other two are former BNP MPs Ruhul Kuddus Dulu and Asadul Habib Dulu. Ruhul Kuddus allegedly earned huge wealth from different government projects of Natore during the tenure of the BNP government, according to the ACC. The ACC also launched an investigation against independent lawmaker Kamrul Ashraf Khan (Narsingdi-2) for the allegation of embezzling money through illegal means.
