The items that the Swedish flatpack giant has pulled from shelves are from its “Heroisk” and “Talrika” ranges. There are fears that if they break, any hot substance being held inside could pour out onto the user and cause a burn. If you have purchased one of the affected items, you should return it to your nearest Ikea for a full refund. Ikea said in a statement on its website: "Ikea has received reports of the plates, bowls and mugs breaking, potentially causing burns due to hot contents.
