A 2-year-old boy in California is reportedly the eighth child to be killed by an Ikea dresser that was recalled in June 2016. The family’s lawyer told ABC News that the boy, Jozef Dudek, died in May when the three-drawer dresser tipped over during his naptime. The furniture item can be unstable if it is not anchored to a wall, the report said. Swedish retailer Ikea told ABC, "Our hearts go out to the affected family, and we offer our sincere condolences during this most difficult time." The company reportedly went on to say, “the initial investigation indicates that the chest involved in this incident had not been properly attached to the wall.”A company spokeswoman said it was unclear how many of the recalled dressers were still in use.
