The common thread these people all share is that they can go on vacation anywhere they want, at any time, price tag notwithstanding. Every year there’s a persistent stream of travel articles about where to vacation, live, and retire on the cheap. The fundamental problem with this logic is this: While I love being cheap, I don’t like to travel like I'm cheap. My response was immediate: travel. So: The most important question isn’t where you can travel as inexpensively as possible.
