MELAKA: Former Melaka chief minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron (pic) says that he is open to criticism, but the Pakatan Harapan-led state government should not criticise the former administration without basis. "The maintenance and uplift works at Seri Bendahara were done in 2013, 2016 and 2017 and all records of expenditure were kept. "The repair works were needed to ensure the safety of guests to Seri Bendahara," he said. Idris said Seri Bendahara in Ayer Keroh had stood for 15 years and thousands of people had visited since it was opened. "Some people asked me why the decision was made because it is strange and never done by the previous state government.
