Housing trust chairman Andrew Blair said it was looking for innovative ways to improve the "future liveability and sustainability" of the Tewa Banks development, for which a resource consent application is under way. The trust wanted to hear from urban design, architectural and sustainability professionals, aiming to end up with energy-efficient housing resulting in a lower carbon footprint. "We want to provide a future-focused, sustainable development by building for the next generation. The 3.68ha site in Jopp Street, in Arrowtown, is being assigned to the trust from the Queenstown Lakes District Council, following a council resolution in April 2019 to transfer the site to the trust for $1.
