The accident occurred on the Bolgatanga-Tumu Road on Wednesday, February 12, 2026. In an official statement, Parliament commiserated with the two ministers and extended sincere sympathy to their families, constituents, and the general public, acknowledging the shock that the incident may have caused. According to the statement, both ministers have been airlifted to Accra and are receiving medical treatment at the 37 Military Hospital. They are reported to be in stable condition and responding positively to treatment.
