Idaho Mountain Trading, otherwise known as the mountain sports shop, is a local outdoors shop that opened in 1977 and has significantly grown over the years. Richard Napier, owner of Idaho Mountain Trading, and former engineer, decided one day that he didn’t want to continue climbing the corporate ladder. He took both of those passions and the original Idaho Mountain Trading shop specialized in cross-country skiing supplies and backpacking. Richard’s son and co-owner, Davin, plans to carry on the legacy of Idaho Mountain Trading. “We pride ourselves in our boot fit, whether it's snowboard boots, ski boots, hiking boots or running boots,” Richard said.
