Raila Odinga's wife, Ida Odinga, has appealed to the leadership of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) to uphold the values championed by the late former Prime Minister amidst tensions within the party. In her speech, Mama Ida described ODM as one of Raila’s greatest loves, praising party officials and staff who served him with dedication both in life and in death. She also thanked President William Ruto's administration for mobilising state support and ensuring that the late former Prime Minister received a dignified send-off.
