AN ICONIC British pub chain is set to cut around 100 jobs as it plans its second restructure in two years. However, no decision is thought to have been made by Britain’s second biggest pub chain, according to The Times. Britain’s biggest pub chain Stonegate, which owns Slug and Lettuce, is planning to sell more than 1,000 of its venues as it’s saddled with billions of pounds of debt. It has already cut 95 jobs in a restructure, and a further 80 are at risk, according to industry newsletter Propel. Meanwhile, beer giant Heineken announced last week it would cut up to 6,000 jobs worldwide as it faces “challenging market conditions”.
