(Matt Slocum/Associated Press)Ahead of the Washington Wizards’ next game in Brooklyn, center Ian Mahinmi has shown promising signs in his knee rehabilitation and could return to the court as soon as Wednesday night for the first time in more than two months. Mahinmi, who had knee injections in December, has recently participated in the team’s brief practices and progressed without setbacks. Mahinmi played only 14 minutes but soon returned to the injury list with a cycle of soreness in what was believed to be his healthy right knee.
