NewsPolice have advised motorists to use alternate roads around Colombo this evening as marches by university students are expected to reach Fort from several directions. Severe traffic congestion is expected this evening around Colombo, especially around the Fort area due to the protest marches. The Inter University Students' Federation (IUSF) has organized protest marches to Colombo from several directions today. Accordingly, students are currently marching on Colombo from Wattala, Kelaniya, Moratuwa and Nugegoda. The marches and protest rally have been organized against the privately run South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM) in Malabe.
