Viewers have been given a candid glimpse into the Queen's private life at Windsor in an ITV documentary hosted by Sir David Attenborough - which revealed a rather 'sassy' side to the monarch's character. As the programme concluded, Sir David discussed the importance of her legacy with the monarch. During filming Sir David noted that a sundial in the gardens at Buckingham Palace had been 'neatly planted in the shade'. Speaking to the Radio Times about the interview last week, Sir David confessed to being nervous before the meeting - but said the Queen was 'very gracious'.
