LAHORE: The Information Technology University (ITU) Punjab has planned to establish an innovative lab at its state of the art, purpose built main campus that is Pakistan’s first focused research university being constructed at Lahore said ITU founding Vice-Chancellor Dr Umar Saif while chairing the 7th meeting of the ITU syndicate here today. Presently ITU is running ten-degree programs with 80 faculty members. The meeting also discussed the details regarding the first convocation of its first graduating batch of students enrolled in the undergraduate bachelors’ programme in electrical engineering and computer science. Matters pertaining to the institutionalizing of the Lahore technology award and sources for research funding also came under discussion. ITU Registrar Mr Zaheer Sarwar and the concerned members attended the meeting.
