“We want to expand to places like Japan and Germany and we need those language skills. We need to build those from school and college onwards. We also have a programme where if someone brings a language certification, we pay them 5% more in salary,” Ajay Prabhu, COO at QuEST Global Engineering Services, told ET. Companies are also spending their skilling budgets on foreign language training.“In markets such as Germany, Switzerland France , and the Nordics, it is hard to find professionals with a combination of technical and language skills.
