Egyptian Christians in the Sinai Peninsula are fleeing their homes en masse in the wake of Islamic State terrorist attacks, the New York Times reports. Violence against Egypt’s Christian community has surged since the ousting of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and the election of an Islamist party to power. The video came after an ISIS terrorist killed a Christian man along with his pregnant wife, and then hung around to finish a soda before leaving. “They want to send a message that nobody is safe,” an aid worker told the New York Times. ISIS was also responsible for one of Egypt’s deadliest terror attacks in December, when 25 Christians were killed in a church during a prayer service.
