IOM, FG repatriate 162 more stranded Nigerians from Libya


The International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Federal Government repatriated another 162 stranded Nigerians from Libya on Tuesday as part of their ongoing voluntary evacuation exercise. Mr. Kabiru Musa, Charge d’Affaires of the Nigerian Mission in Libya, revealed this in a statement made available to the Nigerian News Agency in Abuja. He said that the Nigerian Mission in Libya under the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had carried out a series of evacuation exercises for Nigerians stranded in Libya. “The federal government has promised to bring back stranded Nigerians facing challenges in Libya. The charge of affairs said that the Mission would continue to work closely with the Libyan authorities to ensure that stranded Nigerians who wish to return to their homes are safely evacuated.
