A Delhi court on Monday took cognisance of the CBI charge sheet against the former Union Minister, P. Chidambaram, his son Karti and 12 other accused in the INX Media case. Special Judge Ajay Kumar Kuhar also summoned Mr. Chidambaram for October 24, when he will be produced in the court on expiry of his custody in the Enforcement Directorate in the money laundering case. Indrani Mukerjea, former director of INX Media and an accused, turned approver earlier this year. The agency arrested Mr. Chidambaram in August. Mr. Karti Chidambaram is out on bail.
