The weather department will issue the winter forecast and cold wave alert for December, January and February. The IMD also issued heat wave forecast for the first time this year for the months of April, May and June. “With the success of the rainfall forecast for the last two years and the adoption of dynamic forecasting model and heat wave forecasting this summer, now we are looking forward to providing winter forecast and cold wave alerts too,” D.S.
