The Insurance Industry Consultative Council says it will intensify its efforts in the promotion of insurance awareness in Nigeria. In a statement, it said it also planned to increase growth in the industry with a training on compulsory insurance policies scheduled to hold on Wednesday 6th of February, 2019 in Asaba, Delta State. It noted that the training which was one of the initiatives of the IICC and aimed at actively encouraging insurance and education, would see participants receive training and sensitisation on the categories of compulsory insurance policies and the enforcement laws governing them among other topics. Participants will be afforded deep insight into liability/compulsory insurance, assessment and rating of compulsory insurance policies and insurance claims administration, it stated. He stated, “This training further serves to reiterate the commitment of the IICC to achieving its laid down objectives and to promote insurance awareness in Nigeria.
