Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque has left Dhaka for China on Friday night to join the upcoming Interpol conference. Interpol’s 86th Annual General Conference will be held in Beijing from September 26-29. According to Sohely, the inspector general will also speak about the remarkable contribution of Bangladesh police to combating militants. Sohely added: “Police chiefs of Interpol member countries and security experts will participate in the conference. Besides, there will be discussions on preventing terrorist activities and contemporary challenges.”The Bangladesh IGP will exchange views on mutual interests with the police chiefs of different countries.
