KUALA LUMPUR: Let the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigate allegations of police protection rackets, says Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar (pic). The Inspector-General of Police said all parties must give MACC ample room to investigate the case thoroughly. "We will wait for the full report by MACC," he told a press conference after witnessing the handing-over ceremony for the Bukit Aman traffic investigation and enforcement department director's post on Friday. The Inspector-General was asked to comment on reports that the main suspect in the protection racket case had contact with high-ranking Bukit Aman officers. Khalid also said that he did not have to divulge the content of conversations with the main suspect in the case.
